&Beyond Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge

&Beyond Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge is one of four &Beyond magnificent properties in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. and is easily combined with a trip to Chobe and/or Victoria Falls.

Surrounded by a mosaic of papyrus and reed beds, &Beyond Xudum Okavango Delta Lodge lies deep within an exclusive 672 125 acre wildlife concession. The multi-layered guest areas boast dramatic decks with panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness, yet remain discretely within the tree line. These spaces are designed to make the experience more intimate, with inviting plump sofas ideal for total relaxation. The overall atmosphere is one of earthy glamour. Botswana basketware appears throughout the lodge and playful accents celebrate Delta icons. An interactive kitchen completes the overall experience. The well-stocked Safari Shop showcases chic outdoor gear, African art, and jewelry.

The nine playfully crafted split-level safari suites, boasting handsome tones of chocolate and ebony, feature large bathtubs and romantic al fresco showers. Each suite also includes a lofty rooftop hideout with magnificent Delta views, as well as a private plunge pool. Innovative design details featuring the artful recycling of everyday objects have been used throughout and all timber work is rough-hewn and chunky.

Activities include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, walking with Bushmen Excursion, bird watching, children’s programme includes treasure hunts and other activities, mokoro and fishing trips along hippo trails amongst the Delta grasses (seasonal), motorized boat excursions (seasonal).

Wildlife includes elephant, large buffalo herds, tsessebe, hippo, lion, leopard, Africa wild dog and roan antelope, ostrich is unique to the area, viewing of rare species such as red lechwe and sitatunga, bush walks to explore the intimate details of this unique habitat. Remarkable bird-watching with 450 bird species, including Pel’s Fishing Owl. A vast number of migrant birds in summer.

Childminders are available but must be booked on the day of arrival. A rate of USD 5 per hour is payable at the lodge.
Children 5 years and younger cannot participate in game drives or nature walks;
Children aged 6 to 11 can participate in game drives at the lodge manager’s discretion;
Children aged 12 to 16 can participate in mokoro activities at lodge manager’s discretion;
Children aged 16 and over can participate in nature walks

Children's Program:
Designed especially for children visiting &Beyond’s lodges, WILDchild is filled with fun, interactive activities that offer opportunities to learn and discover new experiences and cultures. On arrival at &Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp, each child will receive a WILDchild branded bag containing a logbook, crayons, pencils and a pawprint tattoo. There is a personalized welcome note for every child, with those under three getting an African-themed soft toy as well.
