Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp

&Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp enjoys luxurious solitude on its own Delta island within a 672 125 acre exclusive wildlife concession. Taking its inspiration from the water lily, Xaranna is a delightful camp with just nine ensuite safari tents that combine canvas and bleached timber. The overall atmosphere of the camp is cool, light and airy, in keeping with the gentle beauty of its environment. The safari tents are organic in design and are delicately decorated in shades of khaki and soft lily pink. 

Each air-conditioned tent boasts a romantic outdoor sala, private plunge pool, indoor bathtub and al fresco shower. The guest areas are all carefully positioned to maximise the sweeping views out across the channels, with classic Delta tree-line silhouettes. The camp celebrates Botswana’s iconography, with numerous design touches used throughout. The intimate guest sitting area boasts a spacious reading area, perfect for afternoon relaxation. The elevated dining area features shady verandas with mesmerizing views leading out onto an open-air boma where exotic candlelit dinners are served beneath the stars. A fully-stocked safari shop offers chic outdoor gear, African art, and jewelry.

Activities include day and night game drives, guided bush walks, bird watching, a children's programme that includes treasure hunts and other activities. Traditional mokoro (dugout canoe) rides to explore the delicate details of the glistening waterways, where iridescent dragonflies, frogs of every color and jewel-like kingfishers live in the papyrus-lined banks.  Fishing trips along hippo trails amongst the Delta grasses (seasonal) and motorized boat excursions (seasonal)

Lion, cheetah, leopard and African wild dog share the floodplains with large herds of elephant and buffalo. 
Hippo inhabit the deeper channels and lagoons, while honeybadgers can be seen in broad daylight. Tall termite mounds are homes for families of dwarf and banded mongoose.

Childminders are available but must be booked on the day of arrival. A rate of USD 5 per hour is payable at the lodge.
Children 5 years and younger cannot participate in game drives or nature walks;
Children aged 6 to 11 can participate in game drives at the lodge manager’s discretion;
Children aged 12 to 16 can participate in mokoro activities at lodge manager’s discretion;
Children aged 16 and over can participate in nature walks

Children's Program:
Designed especially for children visiting &Beyond’s lodges, WILDchild is filled with fun, interactive activities that offer opportunities to learn and discover new experiences and cultures. On arrival at &Beyond Xaranna Okavango Delta Camp, each child will receive a WILDchild branded bag containing a logbook, crayons, pencils and a pawprint tattoo. There is a personalized welcome note for every child, with those under three getting an African-themed soft toy as well.
