Sabi Sands Game Reserve, the "birthplace" of sustainable wilderness tourism and development in Sub-Saharan Africa, loved by guests and staff alike as a place of wilderness, wildlife and adventure. Home to the extensive Mpumalanga cross-section of wildlife, including the Big Five and various endangered species, the park also shares 50 kilometers of its unfenced boundary line with neighbouring Kruger National Park. Animals pass casually between the two parks, unhindered and abundant.
A relatively young destination, folded comfortably into the ubiquitous riverside vegetation that blankets the banks of the Msuthlu river, the Sabi Sands Little Bush Camp is a cozy five star destination within the Sabi Sabi Game Reserve, suitable for family or small groups of friends.
At once a welcoming and warm venue, Little Bush camp's primary characteristic comes from its unrivaled seclusion and privacy - a truly romantic and whimsical trip into the wild, with tranquil views, and dense, rustling vegetation providing a magical backdrop to any trip. The Little Bush Camp has all the heart and luxury of its sister lodges, with just enough room to create an unmistakable family atmosphere.
Accommodation at Little Bush Camp takes the form of six twin-bed chalets, each fitted with private wooden decks, en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning, indoor and outdoor showers, and elegant mosquito netting in the bedroom areas.
Little Bush Camp offers entertainment in the way of guided safari drives, one conducted in the morning, the other at dusk, in open Land Rovers. These outings are coordinated, and the guests kept up to date by highly trained teams of experienced game rangers and local shangaan trackers. Guests can also take to the park on foot, in guided groups, where, with the help of their shangaan tracker, they will experience a level of interaction with the park they could otherwise miss.
Facilities at Little Bush Camp include bars, swimming pool, telephone and fax facilities, and curio shop.
Wildlife indigenous to the Sabi Sabi area includes Cape buffalo, elephant, Reedbuck, spotted hyena, cheetah, giraffe, Burchell's zebra, Black-backed jackal, duiker, hippopotamus, impala, kudu, leopard, lion, warthog, white rhinoceros, white-tailed mongoose, and Wild dog, as well as a bird watcher's wildest dream in the surrounding park's extensive bird population.
• No children are allowed at the lodge.
• Excluded from the price are transfers to and from the Little Bush Camp, reserve entrance fees, champagne, cognacs, cellar wines, and premium brand spirits, laundry services, telephone calls, as well as gratuities for staff members and guides.

"Little Bush Camp has to be my favourite bush experience everI Loved the small size of the camp, the privacy of the suites, the real bush feel of the rooms and deck, pool etc. If I had to choose one place in the world that I would return it, this would be it!"

"We had the pleasure of staying 3 nights in this small, private and luxurious camp. It is the smallest of the 4 camps in Sabi Sabi, next to Earth Lodge, Bush Lodge and Selati Camp and has 6 beautiful lodges, each for 2 persons. There are 2 game drives each day, one early in the morning, the other one in the afternoon, with a tracker and a ranger that work together to get you face to face with all the wild animals. They know everything there is to know about animal and plant life there is and you can ask questions anytime. They offer high quality food and snacks several times a day, and their service is top-notch! This place also serves as a wonderful honeymoon location, with a Jacuzzi, huge bathroom with shower and bath tub and an extremely big bed. We absolutely enjoyed staying here and were quite sad to leave again. We will have to come back one day! Thanks again Little Bush Camp Team for making this an absolutely wonderful experience!"
"The camp was lovely, small, intimate, the game viewing was superb, but the bast part was the personnel. Everyone from manager, to the cook - not only was the food delicious, but I have multiple food allergies, and he cooked special dishes and desserts just for me - to the people who straighten your room were happy, loved what they do, passionate about creating the best experience possible, and succeeded. The best, however, was our ranger, Craige Reiche, and his tracker, Zebulon. We were fascinated to watch how they tracked, and they explained everything. It was obvious that both of them looked forward to taking us, were committed to finding the animals, were very respectful of the animals and their space, and, best of all, had in depth knowledge of everything. Craig was more than willing to answer our ceaseless questions about the wildlife, the vegetation, the birds - and we are like 5 year olds, always asking why. He almost always knew the answers, but when he didn't we had long conversations trying to figure things out, and then, if we couldn't, all of us would look it up on "Dr Google" and compare answers on the next drive. The experience was surreal, and truly a life experience."
"This safari experience was absolutely exceptional! We could not have asked for a more personalized and well cared for stay. From the moment that a guest enters this camp, the staff is dedicated to making your safari experience memorable. The décor and surroundings are impeccable, the staff completely reflects their pride in employment, the food is absolutely top-notch, and it is easy to relax into knowing that, as a traveler, you have made an excellent choice. There is attention to detail everywhere. Our Ranger and Tracker were expertly trained and we were very pleased to be able to have our Ranger join us at dinner for some lively conversation and additional wildlife stories. We had excellent game viewing as well as being able to get some fantastic photos. Each private room is perfectly situated along the stream bed in order to maximize privacy on the deck. It was chilly when we were there; but, that did not deter us from taking advantage of our private whirlpool tub. It was amazing to get the beautiful views of wildlife that happened to stroll through the camp. If only we had been able to stay longer... what a great place. Highly recommend this Lodge... I am looking forward to returning very soon."
"My wife and I just got back from our stay at Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp. It was an amazing experience and we could not have asked for a better time. From the time Craig picked us up at the airstrip to the time we left, there was not one thing I would have changed. The staff was great at the lodge and the rooms were very nice! The attention to detail was great and everyone really treated us well. There was plenty of wildlife in and around the camp as well. We had a female leopard right outside our door and bushbuck, kudu, and monkeys roaming camp as well. There is not enough that can be said about our ranger, Craig, and our tracker, Jack. Craig's love for the animals was so infectious, which rubbed off on our whole group, and his knowledge was top-notch. Not only did we see some beautiful animals, we also learned so much from his discussions. Jacks ability to track animals was out of this world as well and we were all amazed at what he found. Both were just so great on the game drives and we saw so many amazing things! Craig and Matt also led us on some great walks during the day! Some highlights included finding a herd of 26 elephants on our first drive, watching lions mate, seeing 13 wild dog pups play for what seemed like an eternity, seeing a leopard and her kill, watching a wild dog, vultures, and then hyena feed on a dead impala, and watching elephants play in the water on our walk and on the way back to the airport. Again, we could not have asked for a better ranger, tracker, or overall experience! With our stop in Cape Town and our visit to Little Bush Camp, I can say this was easily the best vacation we have ever been on and we can't wait to make plans for a return trip!"
"Just returned from a four night stay and can't say enough about the staff and the rangers. Everyone and I do mean everyone were more than terrific. We stayed with our whole family and loved every minute of it. They left no stone unturned and we would all return in a minute if it weren't so far away. My particular favorite was Bethheul the ranger."
"From the moment we were met by Ross at Sabi airstrip we were made to feel special. Ross was our designated ranger for our entire stay with the amazing Solly as our tracker. Ross’s knowledge of the bush was never-ending and with Solly to guide him we saw all the big 5 plus much more including cheetah, wild dog and hyena. It was amazing how close to the animals we could get and to sit and watch them interact. Little Bush camp was first class, meals cooked by Shadrack were delicious and he always made time to come to the dining table and explain what he was serving. Gregg, the manager during our stay always came out to greet us when we returned from drives with hot or cold towels depending on the time of day. All the staff were friendly, polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. If you are looking for a small, intimate lodge with first class food and facilities, plus good game viewing, I would recommend Little Bush Camp."
"We are expats living in South Africa and our trip to Sabi Sabi Little Bush camp was our sixth safari in the last 2 years. It was one of the best we have had out of the six. The personal service and attention to the smallest detail exactly what you would expect. The food was first rate and the atmosphere perfect. Our guide, Grant and tracker Moses took particular pains to ensure that our needs and focus for this safari were met. He was very knowledgeable and imparted that knowledge without being overbearing or too much. The accommodations were first rate and inline with or exceeded some of the other luxury safaris we have done the last two years. The staff and team are professionals and it showed in everything they did. Well done!"
"Warm welcomes, lovely room overlooking river bank with private Jacuzzi on the verandah. Perfect for honeymoons or anniversaries. Romantic dinners on the river bed or after game drive breakfast in the floral garden. Very attentive staff. Small and personal, with people who care. Awesome guide (Grant) who was big on exciting bush walks. Want to go back!"
"The most amazing place we have ever stayed the staff are outstanding. Alta and her team with Craig peter and mumsy were fantastic, so many delightful surprises with dinner in the riverbed and breakfast under the trees. Our guide grant and tracker Moses were the best, incredible viewing of leopard, lion, cheetah and and and, can't say enough good things. We will return."
