Kwando Lebala Camp is nestled in the southern region of the private Kwando concession in northern Botswana. This concession is adjacent to the water source that feeds the Linyanti marshland which forms the boundary between Botswana and Namibia. The Kwando River flows in a southerly direction, disappearing into the vast marshland and then reveals itself as the Linyanti River.
Lebala translates to "wide open spaces" and prides itself on offering guests a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Many guests have labeled Lebala as a "home away from home".
As Lebala is in a private concession there are many opportunities to drive off-road in search of wildlife – following endangered African wild dogs on their hunts is an often occurrence. Fascinating mammals are mainly active at night, giving the guest more opportunities to view them. Depending on the season, it is also possible to do guided walks in the area.
