With its blend of wood and canvas, Kimondo is a traditional East African camp with a touch of Moroccan elegance.
With only eight spacious Tented Suites, Kimondo offers an intimate setting for guests to enjoy. Each suite features king-size cast-iron beds draped with mosquito netting, en-suite bathrooms with traditional safari bucket showers and double vanities, a writing desk, and a private veranda with comfortable loungers and phenomenal views of the African bush.
The camp facilities include a main lodge comprising of a comfortable lounge area with reading books, as well as an outdoor dining area where you'll indulge in a selection of sumptuous meals.
Although the Migration is based upon the rainfall pattern, generally during the months of July to November, the camp is situated in the northern Serengeti on the famous Lamai Wedge; a rich lush area that attracts wildebeest and antelope during the winter months, along with a number of predators eager for an opportunity to strike.
During the summer months of December to March, the herds generally move to the grassy plains of the Southern Serengeti and so the camp follows.
As the wildebeest and antelope move through the Serengeti, sightings of lion, cheetah, leopard, jackals, hyena, and the rare Serval and African wild dog become more frequent. It is not uncommon to view the famous Big Five in the Serengeti.
With the camp positioned on the path of the Migration, your time at Kimondo is spent on exhilarating game drives and visits to local communities.
Kimondo Camp is ideal for solo explorers, couples, and families looking to be in the center of the action and enjoy a rewarding safari experience.
Flights, transfers, premium brand beverages and champagnes, gratuities, additional excursions, conservation and park fees, and items of a personal nature.
Children aged five years and older are warmly welcomed in Kimondo Camp.
