"It was a dream - 4 days of safari and game drives in this wonderful private park of greater Kruger. I could not mention enough that the stay in Kambaku lodge was exceptional and perfect! We even got a bed-time-story, own candles and a superb dinner. I saw the big 5 and many other animals as well, learned about their behaviors and specialties. The guide and trekker, and the base staff were very friendly, the houses very tidy, huge and very nice."
"I cannot praise the staff at Kambaku Safari Lodge enough. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like valued friends. Our experience was wonderful from the accommodations, the food, the game drives and the amazing, caring staff. Didn't want to leave. Would recommend to everyone and return in a heartbeat."
"From the second I arrived at Kambaku it was fantastic! Ben and Bongi are incredibly welcoming and friendly, furthermore it was lovely to have their company at dinner. I stayed in lodge 5 which was clean and spacious. All the food was simply delicious! Our ranger, Evan, was the perfect guide; approachable, fun and very knowledgeable about every aspect of safaris; from animals to birds and trees! I was heartbroken to leave and am already desperate to go back!"
"Stayed here for 2 nights. Saw the big 5 including 2 white lions and a few lion cubs we saw loads of other amazing animals too. The whole entire experience staying at Kambaku was amazing. Best trip I have been on, the staff provided fantastic service right the way through. Everything was perfect from our rooms to the surroundings, the food and I cannot forget the Game drives they were amazing!! Must go back and if you haven't been you must go. Thanks again David and the whole team. :)"
"We stayed for 3 nights, saw the big 5 including the white lions. David and the staff at the lodge provided fantastic service. Our ranger Palence and tracker Kenneth were excellent, tracking down the white lions with a buffalo kill using the tracks on the ground. They'd often ask us what we'd like to see, and make every effort to try to find those animals, usually succeeding. Accommodation was very comfortable, food fantastic, pool very good, with banana lounges with a view of the waterhole also worthy of mention. Wifi available in reception area. Highly recommend this lodge!"
"This is an amazing place with an excellent staff. The wildlife drives were outstanding. Not only did we see giraffes but also the big five plus wild dogs. The food was excellent and accommodations were very comfortable. Gideon and Eric were very knowledgeable on the game drives were quick to explain animal behavior and information on the vegetation."
"Staying at Kambaku Safari Lodge was the highlight of our Safari experiences in South Africa. The Lodge is beautiful, with so many little touches to make it feel special & loved. We too liked the fact that it was solar powered & the subdued lighting was fun & perfectly adequate with all the lanterns & torches supplied. All the staff were delightful & very helpful with any requests. Our guide Evan & tracker Albert were outstanding, their knowledge, good humour & attention to detail was exemplary. Seeing the two only white lions in the wild was beyond special as was tracking & finding the Leopard, which proved the men's skills. By the way the food, in particular dinner was 5 star. Special thanks too, to David the Manager, who took the time & interest to give us great advice & maps to ensure we didn't miss the Panorama Route on our travels South. We will certainly be recommending this Lodge as a must visit to our friends in Australia."
"This is a wonderful get away from the busy life, a place where the service is personal and professional and the individual rooms are strategically laid out around a water hole visited frequently by animals, birds etc. Serene and quite enough to totally relax. The Safari drives were comfortable and exciting with a delightful snack break part way through. The staff were all outstanding and we will definately recommend it to family and friends."
"Kambaku lodge in Timbavati is great ! Driving to the lodge is already an experience! We saw impalas, buffalos, giraffes, elephants, etc. on the way to the lodge. The lodge is very cute and the staff is very friendly, nice and welcoming. We had an amazing experience and it is worth going."
"Brilliant location. If you are not sure where to book just book the Kambaku Safari Lodge you will love every second I would stay here every time. Private game park, no private vehicles and guides and trackers who are at the top of their game (if you will pardon the pun) All the staff are great and the location is Wow. Evening meals under Afican Stars and the water hole is so close and attracts lots of animals. Certainly a stay again. Mentioned that I have never seen a Leopard on 3 previous visits to SAN Park reserves. Here 5 game drives and 5 Leopards oh and yes, Lion , Rhino, Elephant, Crocodile, Hippo, Buffalo the odd Impala too many to list."
