The Eastern Caprivi is a narrow strip of pristine wilderness located in the Zambezi region of Namibia. Chobe Savanna Lodge is an attractive classic safari lodge that overlooks the vast floodplains of the Chobe National Park's Puku Flats.
Offering unrivaled views of the Chobe River and the Chobe National Park in the distance, Chobe Savanna Lodge is positioned to offer prime game viewing. The Chobe River is a primary water source for an abundance of wildlife and is frequently visited by buffalo, hippo, large elephant herds, and the rare Puku antelope.
The lodge boasts 10 Twin bedded chalets, 2 family units
Each beautifully furnished thatched Chalet features an integrated bedroom and lounge area, en-suite bathroom with a shower, air-conditioning, overhead fan, tea and coffee making facilities, in-room safe, minibar, umbrella, flashlight, airhorn, and a private deck. With inter-leading room options and a family room available, the lodge welcomes families with children of all ages.
The lodge facilities include various indoor and outdoor dining areas, a campfire area, bar, swimming pool, curio shop, library with guest laptop and internet connection, and viewing deck overlooking Chobe National Park.
The Chobe National Park is renowned for having the largest herds of elephant in Africa. In the dry season (July to October), there is no better place to be as large herds of elephant begin gathering along the river’s edge, often crossing the deeper channels. Chobe is one of the only places you will see elephants swim.
Due to the location of the lodge, the activities are focussed around the Chobe River. These include motorized boat safaris, catch and release fishing, cultural excursions, guided nature walks and birding safaris.
