Accommodation: Kings Camp
Today you will depart on a scheduled flight from Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport to the Timbavati Private Game Reserve where you will spend the next three days in ultimate luxury whilst exploring the African bushveld.
The mornings start with an early wake-up call and a fresh cup of brewed coffee or tea, before heading out into the bush with a highly skilled ranger and tracker for about 3 - 4 hours. Witness the bush come to life as animals awake and generally make their way to surrounding waterholes for a drink. Be sure to have your camera ready for some fantastic photographic opportunities.
After you return to camp, enjoy a hearty breakfast, followed by some free time to relax or venture out on an exciting bush walk with an armed ranger. Discover the excitement and ancient secrets of the African wilderness as you walk amongst the vegetation and animals of the bush. This experience will be sure to awaken your senses.
In the late afternoon, you head out into the bush again for more up-close animal encounters and to witness the most spectacular red-sky sunset you will ever see. Be sure to be on the lookout for the reserve's famous white lion.
Accommodation: Leopard Hills
After one final early morning game drive in the Timbavati, you return to camp for breakfast and collect your belongings before heading to the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve.
After settling into your luxurious suite and a sumptuous lunch, you will gear up for your first of many adventures in the Sabi Sands. Darkness brings about a time of both danger and respite in the bush which allows you to possibly spot smaller carnivores like Genet or Civet not usually seen by day. This is also the time when most predators hunt so your evening game drive could potentially be the most exciting of all.
No dinner will ever be the same at Leopard Hills, from dining under the stars in the traditional boma to fine silver service dinners in the dining room, or out on the upper deck where a cool breeze is a welcome relief from the African heat. The perfect end to a wonderful safari experience; a private dinner on the deck of your suite is offered to couples wanting to spend time together in privacy.
Those with a passion for wildlife photography will be able to get various tips from their ranger on taking the perfect picture, while on their game drive or walking safari. The rangers are avid fans of photography and many of them have entered renowned international and local competitions.
Your final morning in the African bush includes one last opportunity to see wildlife before heading back to Johannesburg's OR Tambo Airport where you will connect with your onward travel arrangements. You may leave Africa with a heavy heart but the experiences you have had remain etched in your memory forever.

"A spectacular weekend and spectacular service. I only had two nights free for a side-trip to Kruger national park, and not much time to organise it. Giada at Safari.com took the challenge in hand, gathering my requirements and providing options to choose from almost the same day (only time zones caused the delay!). She organised flights to fit with my pre-booked business trip, car transfers to and from the airport and a stay at Lukimbi lodge - I didn't have to organise a thing. Any questions were answered straight away, and when one of my flights experienced a delay, a quick call to Giada meant that the transfer was rescheduled and the accommodation notified on my behalf."

"We stayed at Kings Camp for our trip to Kruger and that decision made all of the difference. The facilities were wonderful, the staff was outstanding, and our ranger (Jacob) was so amazing that we jokingly asked if he would be showing us a unicorn - since he'd already shown us the Big Five, the Ugly Five plus many other things everyday that we were there it made sense to think he could find a mythical animal too. The days involve a 5am wake-up call, 5:30am coffee, and out on a drive in the dark to look for absolutely amazing animals. Then breakfast - lunch - tea and an evening drive before dinner. Read the reviews that talk about chilly mornings and evenings and plan accordingly based on time of year."
