Your journey begins in KwaZulu-Natal, a coastal province in South Africa that is known for its sub-tropical beaches, vast mountains, lush landscapes and savannahs populated by big game. KwaZulu - Natal offers a rich culture and is home to many villages that showcase the indigenous Zulu traditions.
For the first three days, you will be accommodated at Zululand Lodge located on the banks of Msineni River and riverine forest. You are welcomed to the lodge by friendly staff and accommodated in a tastefully decorated en-suite permanent canvas room. With an abundant birdlife, Zululand Lodge is a birders paradise.
Kosi Bay is a series of four interlinked lakes in the Maputaland area of KwaZulu - Natal and is known as “the aquarium” because of the clarity of the water and the abundance of fish species. Popular to the area are kingfishers, hippo, crocodiles, white backed night-heron, bull sharks and the loggerhead and endangered leatherback sea turtles who seasonally lay their eggs on the beach.

Mozambique is the ultimate African beach getaway destination with something for everyone. Fun water activities can be enjoyed by the whole family, while advanced divers will be thrilled by the excellent Mozambique diving spots. This beautiful coastline includes Quirimbas Archipelago, Bazaruto Archipelago, Vilanculos, and Inhambane.
The city of Maputo is where Portuguese and African cultures meet, with an exquisite blend of seafood and vibrant life.Catembe Gallery Hotel is a small intimate boutique hotel offering premier accommodation in a tropical setting. Travelling north along the Indian Ocean coastline, you will venture through mango and cashew nut plantations until you reach the town of Inhambane. Rich in history and trade, Inhambane will dazzle you as you visit a 200-year-old cathedral church and some refreshing produce markets. You will spend the next three days at Palm Grove Resort, enjoying the sunshine and crystal blue ocean.
Your journey continues to Bilene which is a lagoon 8km wide and 27km long, with white sandy beaches, and separated from the Indian Ocean by a narrow strip of sand dunes. You will spend the evening at Laguna Camp, set in a prime location on top of the sand dunes overlooking the magnificent Belone Lagoon.

Kruger National Park is one of Africa’s largest game reserves with a high density of wild animals that include the Big 5. There are hundreds of mammals and bird species which inhabit the park, immersing those who visit in an unpredictable and endless wilderness. This is the land of baobabs, fever trees, knob thorns, marula and mopane trees underneath.
The next two days will be exhilarating as you venture out on morning and afternoon game drives. Kruger National Park chalets are located within the park so be sure to listen out for the animal calls and the chirping of insects.

Your journey begins with an early departure as you take to the road from the city of Johannesburg and wind down into the heart of Zululand. Known for its green hills, waving grasslands and abundant forests, Zululand is home to many parks, farms and nature reserves. Spend the afternoon exploring the lodge and listening to the calls of the abundant birdlife that surrounds you.

Your first day will be spent exploring the beauty of the bush on a morning walk followed by an exciting afternoon game drive in Mkuzi Game Reserve. Mkuzi Game Reserve is a protected area and plays a key role in the preservation of the highly endangered black and white rhino. Be sure to have your camera ready for some spectacular photographic opportunities, as you look onto an active waterhole from a nearby hide.

On your last day in the bush, you will explore Hluhluwe Game Reserve, the oldest proclaimed nature reserve in Africa with 237 000 acres of traversing land. Visiting KwaZulu- Natal would not be complete without visiting a local Zulu village, so this afternoon prepare for a treat as you learn about the history, culture and traditions of the Zulu people.

After a heart-warming breakfast, you bid farewell to Zululand and head towards Kosi Bay. You will spend the next two days exploring the sea life at Kosi Bay River Mouth and sinking your toes into the sand as you relax in the sun.

After some much-needed relaxation in Kosi Bay, you say goodbye and continue your journey into the Kingdom of Swaziland. Perhaps this afternoon you will relax by the pool or sit and look out onto the waterhole that is sure to attract many animals.

This morning you bid farewell to the Kingdom of Swaziland as you head towards the coastline of Mozambique. We suggest a visit to the Maputo Central Market this afternoon, ending off the day with a perfectly prepared seafood dinner.

This morning after breakfast, you will transfer to your resort in Inhambane. Relax and enjoy the warm crystal blue sea and expansive white beaches; or perhaps you will take a ride on a dhow boat, go horse riding on the beach or venture into the water to admire the beauty of the ocean.

Staying on the coastline but heading in a southerly direction, we head for the shores of Bilene. After checking into your Camp, you have the option to spend the afternoon exploring the lagoon by kayak or snorkel, swimming in the shallow calm waters. The day ends with the option of dining at a local restaurant that overlooks the lagoon before retreating back to your chalet for the evening.

This morning you bid farewell to the Indian Ocean coast, as you travel through the Limpopo Transfrontier Park and enter the renowned Kruger National Park. An icon for Big 5 safaris, you will be sure to enjoy exhilarating morning and afternoon game drives. If you are feeling adventurous, perhaps you may wish to take the optional night game drives before retreating to your chalet.

After an early morning game drive and breakfast, you return to Johannesburg. Arriving this evening, you will either journey back home or check into a hotel for the evening. Sun-tanned and relaxed, you leave Africa with a heavy heart and a desire to return.
